How to apply for Bar Cover membership

You must be a practising barrister and an Ordinary Member – Class A of the New South Wales Bar Association or an Ordinary Member – Class B (interstate) of the New South Wales Bar Association.

To apply, you complete a Proposal Form providing information which includes your medical history. A medical examination may be required. Please read our PDS to decide if our product is right for you, before submitting your Proposal Form.

You must select the weekly benefit you require ($100 to $10,000) subject to the benefit selected not exceeding your average gross weekly income from practice as a barrister during the preceding 12 months. In the case of barristers newly admitted to the Bar, this limitation will be given special consideration.

Once your Proposal for insurance is approved, we will send you our no-obligation offer with the amount payable.
